Aashirman D.R Joshi looks impressive in his acting debut ‘Gangster Blues’ but Anupam Sharma steals the show with a stellar performance in negative role !

Aashirman Desraj Joshi, the younger brother of actor Ayushman Desraj Joshi is making his debut into the Nepali movie industry with the upcoming Action-Love flick Gangster Blues.

Yes, the name of the movie does sound like some good old Gangster Bollywood flick and the trailer does leave some hints to what the movie storyline might be. The movie trailer scenes will surely remind you of various Bollywood movies which involve action packed love story with a Gangster backdrop. The trailer gives indications of a Bollywood inspired cliché in which a sweet and innocent love story gets stuck amidst a fierce Gang war involving Goons, Dons and Powerful politicians.

Aashirman Desraj Joshi really  looks promising in the lead role with his tall and sturdy appearance. He definitely has a charming look which is certain to cast spell on the female audiences. The movie also features the gorgeous Jerry movie fame Anna Sharma as the lead actress.

Anna has done quite well portraying the role of an innocent central female lead. Her chemistry with Aashirman does seem good in the romantic scenes. Samyam Joshi from the Saayad movie is playing the sidekick of Aashirman’s character.

However, it is the actors playing the negative roles who seem to steal the whole show. Actors Naresh Poudel and Pramod Agrahari have done a stupendous job as usual but it is Anupam Sharma who is all over the movie trailer.

The intensity with which he has portrayed a Madhes based Goon on screen is enough to give you Goosebumps. The dialogue delivery in Bhojpuri/Awadhi tone seems equally engaging.

There are certain scenes in the trailer which reminds of the 2012 Bollywood movie ‘ Ishaqjaade’ featuring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Some other scenes may also remind of another 2014 movie ‘Ek Villain’ featuring Siddhartha Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor. It is great to see that Nepali movies are meeting up to the standards of Bollywood movies in terms of cinematography, screenplay and presentation. The movie has been written and directed by Hem Raj BC while modern melody king Kali Prasad Baskota has provided the music.

llThe overall movie trailer of ‘Gangster Blues’ has left a good impression on the audiences and it is getting a fantastic reaction so far. It provides indications of being continuity to the series of movies in the Nepalese film industry which have broken the Nepali movie stereotype. In the end, it is the newbie Aashirman who is drawing most of the attention from the viewers for his charming yet fierce looks. The movie may or may not do well at the box office but the nation has certainly found another heartthrob and it goes by the name of Aashirman Desraj Joshi.
