Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse- Book Review

It is interesting that at one stage Siddhartha even rejects the Buddha as his teacher in one way but as a matter of fact he was also following on the footsteps of the Buddha himself because Buddha himself had no teacher and he attained enlightenment through self realisation.Siddhartha believes that Knowledge can be communicated, but not wisdom.


Drabya Shah in the ‘Shilanyas’ – Foundation stone of Modern Nepal

In the play, Drabya shah is the younger brother of Narahari Shah, the successor to the throne of Lamjung. Drabya Shah, who is portrayed as physically strong and skilled in combat has been sent to live in a cow barn by the palace because he is considered not fit to have diplomatic skills befitting of a prince. One day Guru Gorakhnath in disguise visits the barn and pleased with the hospitality of Drabya Shah, he blesses Drabya Shah that he will become a great King in the future.
